Appropriate Age/Size for Superworms

I know the old saying of nothing bigger than between the eyes, but that seems to be more a width factor than length in terms of feeders. So how long did you all wait until you started feeding superworms?

I feed baby supers to baby gex after they have done well on mealworms for my holdbacks. No issues. A 3 month old that has grown well can handle a large super without a problem.

My female jungle tried a superworm. She's about 3 months old and 20g once that tail of the super curled around and hit my gecko in the eye, she dropped it and never cared for them since.

I'll probably try again when she is a little bigger, but giant mealworms do fine.

I move them to smaller supers at about 15-20 grams. Never followed the eye thing. they can take prey twice that size easily.
