Are albino leos rare?

I was browsing the pets section on craigslist and someone had an ad for 3 leos. She said one of them is an albino which is "rare"


Is that true?


Plus...she has them on calicum sand...

Well their not rare anymore haven't been seance the late nineties. unless its some form of albino that has just come around like the purple eye morph

They aren't rare in no way apart from bell blizzards & bell patternless as of yet.I did find somthing very amusing in a old leo book it said albino leo's would set you back $3,000-$5,000 ha:main_laugh: ha:main_laugh: the good old days .My how i laughed .

Albino morphs are very common now.

That looks like one of those super rare tremper albinos! Probably cost about $20 at the pet store! Buy them up before anyone else sees that post!!!

Gazz, I have that book too, I think. Is there a picture of a "paradox albino" about half way through the book and the price guide is at the very end?

I think that's just a case of someone wanting to get rid of something they couldn't care for in the first place, hoping someone comes along that doesn't know much and will go thinking that they have this rare gecko. People really tick me off sometimes.

That's exactly what I thought as soon as I read the ad. I was like oh please...stop lying to get rid of your animals

Albinos can be found in the petstores quite often. If you drive up to SF where I used to live you can find Giants too. Not neccesarily Giant Albino's. I loved having a Giant, and I can't find any in the NJ stores. (sorry, can't afford breeder prices right now).

p.s. what's really really rare are the Albinos that make a squeaking noise.
