I've noticed that my new crestie, Chico, can barely grip my skin, let alone glass or even the upside-down mesh on his cage. He also seems to fall a lot, miss his targets, or just not grip them in time.

As they get older, do they get better at these types of things, or should I be worried? :main_robin:

EDIT: So I read that this could be caused by dehydration, so if anyone could suggest some remedies for this, that'd be awesome.

Temps during the day range from 70 to 80 and 68 to 71 at night.
Humidity seems to remain stable at around 30% to 40%.

I mist twice before I leave for school and around two to four times between when I get home and before I go to bed.

Also - At night, he feels like ice after a misting. Should I be worried, or will he be fine?

Not sure but when my 10 month old gecko goes after a mealworm, she sometimes misses it too (even if it's not moving). I'm not sure if that's something to worry about or if it's normal. Her vision seems to be fine though

I would be concerned yet. I have found that young ones do have trouble climbing some smooth surfaces. What I would check for is proper shedding if shed gets stuck on feet or toes it can also impair their ability. the temps seem fine 30-40 is ok for humidity but I would strive for 50-60
as far as being clumsy all they know when young is jump and pounce. =]
Him feeling cold I just asked this question a day or so ago and from whatv I found is that it is somewhat normal and if your temps are like you say you should not worry.

But yeah check a few threads down maybe that will give you more answrs

Mine, who is basically adult, can't grip onto a lot of things, he can't grip my skin very well but he can stay on my arm, or climb up walls, or things like that, the only thing he can stick to well is glass.

I'm guessing maybe it's because they are quite a large gecko, while those tiny ones can scurry up walls to ceilings, anything.

Mine is also cool to the touch and I know the temps are okay, and I've seen poo in his cage so he must be able to digest.

I also am having a hard time keeping humidity up, but if get organic soil, and soak moss and put it in the bottom it raises the humidity.

Smeagol always feels cool to the touch and I know he poos. He likes to do it on the door to his enclosure so it falls off on the floor when I open the door- yuck. Jorielle was clumsy when we first got him ( he was 3 weeks old) but he climbs alot better now ( he is 4 months old)
