Ares Gurgled at me... O.o

Alright, so I was holding Ares and like I mentioned in another post he had burrowed inself underneath my shirt on my back and was sleeping. Well, of course after about half an hour I had to remove him. As soon as I picked him up and went to pet his head, he made a sound that sounded like a gurgling noise. Does anyone know what that is??

I've found it's their 'displeased' sound. Mine gurgle/croak at me if I pick them up and they don't want to be.
