yeah, my bf and I have nothing better to do :main_rolleyes: I have a juvie YBS and I do feed him pellets. I also believe in giving him tadpoles, rosies and crawfish which I offer each week(we alternate the variety). Is there any problem with this? I believe he is getting a better diet with this variety. I don't use any other supplementation because of this. Is this alright? I do offer the pellets every day.
I am debating on adding snails as well. Would this be ok?

It sounds to me you are offering your YBS a more natural diet which is awesome. I just feed all my water turtles the pellets. I used to feed them feeder fish but my wife is against feeding live or frozen feeders to reptiles with the exception of crickets, mealworms and any other bug I get to feed the leopards.

Although I don't keep water turtles I am extremely wary of a lot of commercial turtle diets because of the amount of corn in them. I personally think that corn is unnatural part of most diets because a lot of animals arn't supposed to be "seed eaters".
