My leo just attacked my thermometer (just a normal mercury thermometer). He got his lower jaw stuck on the ball of mercury and was shaking violently to get it out (for about 10 seconds before I managed to pull it away) It looked pretty painful, but he seems alright now. He never attacks anything thats not moving and has never attacked the thermometer before. He should be fine right?

I've seen mine pick up the rubber probe from the digital thermometer, drop it, stare at it for a couple of seconds, then pick it up again and chew on it. Not sure why he does it. How exactly did it get stuck, isn't the thermometer glass? I would think it would be pretty hard for a leo to get stuck when biting a glass thermometer.

Ahh, I see. I guess if there are no outward signs of damage and he's eating an behaving normally then he should be fine, although as you can see by my post count I'm no expert.
