thank you Brian! a year ago i purchased a trio off of him, and i almost got to the point of selling them, this is the first year they are producing, and i am very glad i was talked into keeping them, because i have ended up with some beautiful babies, and a ton more eggs cooking :D

thanks, i was being bold and keeping them together, against my better judgement, and the bottom two got their tails eaten by the top one, who i now considerably larger haha.

Aww Tamara I LOVE the pictures of the adults all huddled together! :) Too cute!

Did you notice any difference in breeding them then cresteds? Did you need to spray more, put them in a longer cycle, increase feeding more? Or did it just happen? :)

thanks, i liked the idea, but i dont like how they turned out, the shadows are too harsh because i was lighting from above [as i do with all of my pictures] and some of them are too back lit. i should try it again some time.
well, i spray them more, i find them to be more suseptable to dehydration, and their cycle is the same. i actually keep a 1.5 breeding group, 2 of them are really gimpy, and one is a retired breeder who pops out eggs occasionally, and they all just live in there. the other thing i do for them is feed more fruit, and less crickets, and i supplament them with pinky mice, and i havent had any tails dropped yet. but that is all stuff i do for them normally [just out of general care] not specificly for breeding. i cool all my rhacs in the winter, for about 3 - 4 months, and change their light cycle from 16/8 to 12/12 in the summer.

Great pics Tamara!

I have noticed that my Aurics don't eat insects that often either. They prefer the fruits/Clarks diet

yea, even when theyre younger they dont like insects as much, they do however RELISH pinkies. i feed one a week, and start fairly young. i breed my own mice, so its easy to just pop in the garage and pull out as many as i need. i need to start breeding russian dwarf hampsters so i have smaller pinks to feed younger geckos.
