Availability of mealwoms and prices?

I was wondering how easy it is for everyone to get mealworms as i keep seeing posts with people struggling to get them. I live in the northwest of england and have never had a problem finding them localy, there is also alot of companies with mail order services. What is the min/max prices of them in your area £ or $. On average i pay £2 for a tub of mealworms (not sure on the count or weight but they last for ages).

I bet most of us can find them locally but a lot of people on this forum have a lot of geckos and can't afford that $2 - $2.50 tub for only 50mealworms. Online they seem a lot cheaper I've found mealworms at cheap at $13 - $15 for a 1000 shipped!

People are struggling to get them now because of the time of the year. Many suppliers are not mailing out feeders during this time a year because it's cold and voids their guarantee and because they don't want their feeders getting lost with the tons of things being shipped during this time of the year. Plus I would imagine a lot of those suppliers might be going on their own vacations.

Most suppliers are coming back the first week of January here in the US.

I ordered 2,000 a few weeks ago from ny worms, and they are shipping them out the 5th of January. They are worried that they will be lost with all the holiday shipments...

Yea i have heard a lot about mail order companies worried with the holiday season. I will be ordering 1000 meal worms soon to start a breeding colony. So just give it a week or so and when the holiday season is over it will probably be a lot easier to get feeders.

I get my worms from a local wild bird store. They are about $8 for 1000 of them. You guys might look into stores like that in your area.

I was on NY worms the other day and they said they werent shipping the next 2 weeks. They said to order early because of the holidays. You should have gotten yours shipped...im kinda screwed...i JUST ran out. Thought i had more then i did...ima need to find some somewhere
