B. Dubia Question

I have had a colony of B. Dubia going for several months now, and things are going pretty well with them. I just ordered several hundred more, and while I was searching for good prices, I stumble across some information that was new to me. A man said that feeding them oranges well "help them to breed better". I was always under the impression that oranges were not supposed to be fed because they contain calcium witch is not good for B. Dubia. So my question is: 1) Are oranges (among other citrus fruits) good to incorperate in their diet? And 2) Do citrus fruits aid in breeding?
Thanks.

While most fruits generally help roaches breed better, I do agree that oranges tend to enhance their breeding even more. We've had many discussions over on arachnoboards.com about this very claim and while no one can really come up with a scientific explanation, most acknowledge that oranges have that magic something which jump-starts breeding. You don't even have to feed them very often to get the benefit in my experience.
