Baby Diablo Blanco Eyes?

I just bought two juvenile diablo blancos from Reptiles by Mack. They arrived this morning, but they don't seem to have the DB red eyes. In fact, their eyes look like any blazing blizzard. I had thought they hatched right out with red eyes. It's sort of hard to see in the photo (I didn't want to bother them too much since they just arrived), but both eyes on both geckos look like I might have been sent the wrong morphs...

It may just have very low expression of the eclipse gene can you take close up of eyes. A good quality DB will have solid ruby eyes but you still should see some expression in the eyes.

Still not very good pictures, but here's a size reference and another pic of their eyes. It seems like they do have just a bit of red in their eyes. They're certainly not Ron Tremper's Diablo Blancos, but I think they are DBs afterall.

I'm almost certain the one in the rear of the first photo looks like it's an eclipse. The front one does too but its harder to say for sure without seeing the whole eye. Not all DBs have solid red eyes, as others have said the eclipse gene can express as "snake eyes" or eyes that are partially eclipsed and partially normal. Snake eyed geckos can produce ones with solid eyes. I don't think there's a consistent way to predict expression. If you want ones with solid eyes you usually need to ask to see pictures of the exact animal you're purchasing. Large retailers usually don't have time to honor such requests so you usually take your chances but sometimes they can and will :)

Here's a picture of one of my snake eyed eclipses if it helps:

Yea looks DB just low expression. Snakes eyes can produce solid but in my experience that odds much more in your favor when breeding solid to solid. Out of 11 raptors this year I had only one born without solid eyes and all are atleast 20 grams now and are still solid. Eyes will also fade sometimes ones born solid will turn to snake eyes and ones born with snake eyes my show no expression later on.
