I am a landscaper and we removed a bunch of old rip rap under a spruce tree and we found 5 baby fox snakes. They didnt even move, so i put them under a deck with rip rap under it but the didnt move all day. should i do some thing for them, it gets in the low 30ds at night in my area and next week is going to be even colder. If so what would you recomend, i know how to care for snakes i have a sand boa. Just wonder whats the best chance for them, thanks

I'd bring them in, but don't try to keep them warm and feed them. Put them directly into brumation in a basement or closet or attic-somewhere where temps will remain no lower than 48 and no higher than the low-mid 60s.

It is probable that they won't be likely to find a satisfactory spot in the wild after being moved this late in the season.

Hmm. Tough call for me. If it were me, I just wouldnt touch them. I typically dont like to mess around with nature and I like it to take its course. But, that is just IMO. I dont see why you couldnt go ahead and take them in.. I think it is just totally up to you
