Hi I picked up a baby albino leo the other day. My ? is how much should it be eating and what? Its really skinny I got it home set up in its tank and gave it a small wax worm. It loved it then gave it 1 mealworm it ate that too its only about 3 inches long. Just a baby and dont want to over feed it. My wax worms are sm/med size but my mealworms are I would say large 1 to 1 1/2 inches. Any help would be great. I dont want to overfeed it this is my first baby gecko.

You do not need to worry about overfeeding it. If it eats too much, it will vomit and learn not to eat that much next time. Let it eat as much as it wants. You can keep mealworms in an escape-proof dish inside the tank at all times. I wouldn't be feeding it waxworms or it might become stubborn and always expect them. Also, those sound like very large mealworms. Are you sure they are not superworms? If they are in fact "giant mealworms", I have heard that those have been giving a type or growth hormone and are not safe to use. Regular mealworms are fine.

They are mealworms Ill have to look through my bins and see if i have any tiny meal worms yet so far just beetles. I was going to keep some worms in a dish in the cage. I cant find a dish small enough for the gecko to get in and the worms cant get out. The waxworms i dont feed that much. The gecko is a little skinny so giving waxworms to fatten up but not as main food. I see your from Dekalb when I was little i lived down around there. I had to go to Dekalb every week. I lived in a little town called holcomb i think thats how its spelled. I moved from there in like 4th grade to rockford
