So, the ball python bug has bitten. Just picked up another today, a "high white spider". He is stunning in my eyes, and I love how the white runs about half way up his sides. He does have a bit of spin but it's not severe. Tell me what you think!

Can anyone describe what it takes to be labeled high white in balls? He has lots of white but so do most spiders I've seen via google..not sure if that was just something the breeder decided to use to describe it or of its actually part of the morph?

Not sure why it was labeled as high white.... Looks like your average amount of white pigment. Nice looking spider... Now give that thing some rats.

Give it some rats? Are you saying it looks skinny? He actually is pretty plump in my opinion, though please do correct me if I am wrong. I am very new to ball pythons.

Everything I've read about spiders they seem similar to enigmas in the Leo world.. Would this be a correct assumption? I had been warned to not get a spider for this reason but I was told the same about enigmas and they were some of my favorite geckos.

Have noticed some more wobble today than I did last night. When he is in his tank it is much less obvious than when I take him out. Almost like he's doing spirals with his head. I knew about the spider issues when I got him so it's not a surprise to me, it's actually entertaining. He eats well and has bred the previous two seasons with his last owner, so im not too worried about it. I currently have no real plans to breed him anyways. Just an update.

You are correct about the similarities between Spiders and Enigmas. I had a Spider who had a pretty good wobble, but decided not to get involved with them and sold him to another breeder. But in saying that, I think that the Enigmas are worse as far as being able to thrive. I've seen some Spiders that will be really wacky and wobble pretty bad, but they have no issues eating on their own. But from what I've been told by other breeders, the Enigmas will be so bad that they can't eat on their own or thrive. So I guess it's just a decision you have to make if your going to breed them….are you willing to care for animals who will need more assistance than your average one?

As far as the white goes, I would put yours about average for amount of white on it. I've seen way more and way less. It's a nice looking one though.

Also, didn't I tell you that you were going to start buying these things like crazy?! Ball pythons are worse than geckos when it comes to having to have more! It's a sickness I tell you and I have it bad!
