Bad Eggs

My female laid her first clutch almost 9 weeks ago. The eggs were very large (compared to the past two clutches) and were nice, firm, and white. About 3 weeks into incubation 87f with vermiculite, the eggs started to dent. Then they started to mold. I wipped them and put anti-fungal powder. While the mold growth ceased, the collapsing continued. Into the 9th week, they are shrivled but I can't candle them because of the anti-fungal. I picked the best looking egg up to fix the vermiculite and it is still heavy. How wrinkled will an egg get when it dies? I can bet 100$ that egg2 is dead (it's very wrinkled), but egg 1 still has hope. How long do I wait? Will they stink when they die? I would like some responses from people who have actualy delt with an experience similar so that I can get some helpful advice.

BTW the temperature was decreased in the incubator for the past two clutches and the humidity was lowered and all three eggs look amazing (knock-on-wood).

Normally eggs dent do to embryo loss, or lack of moisture. Do you have any condinsation on the container lid? If not I would say that your incubation medium is to dry.

The eggs dented early on so I increased the humidity. They then continued to dent to their current state and also mold. Infertile to begin with? Seems like I tried everything to no avail, but my other eggs are just fine with just a little bit of work. Thanks for the reply.

Sad to say but my guess would be bad from the get go. Normally when they mold its to much moisture, but since you said thay dented first I would increase the humidity (as you did). Sounds like you did everything you could, but sometimes its out of our control. My eggs are the same way, normally I dont have to mess with them the whole incubation time, but every now and then you get those couple stubborn ones.
