bad photos

I take lousy photos.I have a nikon digital camera.but everything i take comes out washed out or dark.I take the pics in my reptile room with just the light bulb light.Has anyone heard of a white box where u use a white backdrop to take reptile pics?.Any ideas on how to make a cheap one.

I use a stryofoam box and a white background and natural light. See the gecko thread I posted for the effect. After that it was just practice and more practice to start getting clean pics.
