Bad tail shed question

My gecko just had a bad shed where he was a bit aggressive and bit his tail, its rly inflamed on the bottom and a lil red on the side, also looks like he took a very very small piece or it could just be the inflamed color tricking my eyes. The tail tip is slighty tipped to the side now.

Will he lose the tip or will it heal do you think? Its been soaked and hes resting in a nice humid hide atm.

Its at the tip and color is coming back slowly so hoping if it does break itl regen and look norm since its only the very tip.
