Bad to wake them?

I got my female 2 days ago, and haven't really gotten to see her yet. I would like to get her out, but she spends all of her time in her cave. Should I get her out anyways (its the day time), or will taking the cave off of her scare her too much? I would also like to check on her because she is shedding, and I am not sure that she has found her moist hide.

Thanks,

Draba

EDIT: from what I can see, she has her eyes open. She just won't come out :(

I would just check on her once a day and no more. She's getting used to a new place and feels secure in the hide. She'll explore later. I would just leave her be for now.

If anything, check up at night, when its dark use a small light not pointed directly at her tank, but enough to illuminate it. since its night it will be her time to be up and about since leos are nocturnal. if she isnt out and about check back later or as Liz said shes not yet ready to explore her new lizardy pad.

OK. lol. I know that they are nocturnal, and I wasn't sure if people get their geckos out during the day.

yeah ill do that. I gave my ATF a very deep hide by connecting a wood arch hut and a cave, shes as far back as she can get and becuase its so deep and dark and shes dark you cant see her at all, and unless you see her at night or shes feeding durring the day, you wont see her at all. ive peeked in through the glass with a flashlight to check up to see her cute little head and her eyes squint at the light O.O >.<

i look at my leos and grab them during the day.. if they have their eyes open they are just relaxing, but give her a week to get to know the place

It's generally not bad to wake them during the day once they're settled in. Just make sure you don't startle them or they may bite. If I need to wake mine during the day I gently tap on the lid of the tank before going in to pick them up.
