Hello everyone. I just got a "baby" leopard gecko from ++++++++ (actually, my best friend bought it for my son as a birthday present, but lets be serious, this is actually my pet!). Things seem to be going well; he/she was super shy at first, we actually thought we lost him somehow because we couldn't find him anywhere! He was hiding up in the top of a branch-looking hide. Anyways, our pet is named General Fang and I've seen him out and about some today, finally. I removed the branch-hide and got one of those rocks with the removable side that goes outside the glass, plus a smaller "under the bridge" style hide too.

Happy to be here, looking to learn how to keep Gen. Fang as happy as possible!

Congratulations on your new addition. I'm sure you'll be very happy with your new pet. :)

How many hides does he have? He needs three - a warm hide, a cool hide, and a humid hide on the warm side or in the middle. Leopard geckos are crepuscular (or nocturnal, which isn't technically correct, but sufficient for our everyday talk), so they will spend most of their time during the day hiding and sleeping.
