Bathing your leos...

decided to give my leos a bath because i noticed 1 had abit of shed stuck on his toes but just wondering how deep should the water be and what temp?

I put mine in about 15mm deep, or upto his legs, i used warm water. I kept topping water up with warm water and he was in for approx 30mins seemed to like it.

I let the water cover the nail on my pinkie finger. I'm a guy, so that equates to about a quarter inch. This also needs to be relative to the size of your leopard, as a juvie might be too small. As for temp, the pinkie dip is perfect. Warm, but not hot. If your finger can rest in there, so should the gecko be able to.

Another thing of note is to not bath the gecko without attending it, as it could drown.

What I did was find the longest Tupperware I could and use that, as the small ones tend to get climbed out of rapidly.

thanks, ive got a big clear storage box i put them both in, they both loved it then tried to climb out when theyd had enough, managed to get some stuck shed off their toes so success :D
