I know that a bearded dragon cage should be a minimum of a 40 gallon breeder but will the bearded dragon actually thrive or should i get a 55 gallon for a beardie
True, many people agree that a 40gal breeder is sufficient, and I do not believe that it is necessarily inhumane. However, based on my experience and observations, I would never keep an adult beardie in anything smaller than a 4x2x2' enclosure. My rescue beardie, Budo, uses every inch of his 4x2x2 every day, and constantly begs to be let out to romp around the house. With beardies, the bigger the cage the happier they will be!
