okay, so my female is getting ready to lay eggs in the next week, and this is my first time dealing with this.

i can't get to a store to buy any other type of moss for now, but i can in a couple days.

i have beaked moss on hand, so i was wondering if i can subsitute the beaked moss for any other type of moss for the lay box? will that work just fine?

Yes. I have beaked moss for a few of my females and they have each laid 3-4 clutches already.
