About 2 months ago I had a Female who suffered from egg binding. I took her in to the Vet, he successfully collapsed the eggs. She passed the eggs a week later, but I noticed would not eat her mealworms but she would eat the Bed-A-Beast in her laybox. She later passed away
When I talked to the Vet after he performed the opperation he said somethings which I was really taken back by. He said my diet of Mealworms, gutloaded with Cody's Pro Gutload was like feeding my geckos french fries. He said I should be feeding the geckos Slugs and Earthworms because they are high in protein.
He also said I should not be using Repti-Cal Calcium powder to dust or give to my geckos. He said it works as a poison in Leopard Geckos.
I was really taken back and didn't know what to say really. I'm in the process of trying to find a new vet in the Portland Metro area, he's the one all of the other vets referred me to.:rolleyes2:
I just wanted to know what you guys thought of his advice and if there is really anything that backs what he said.
