So been waiting for my first set of eggs to hatch and needing somewhere to put the babies. I saw a link someone posted on here to another forum where someone did a rack like this and I flipped! Absolutely loved it! So here is my version.....

4' x 8' 1/2" MDF cut into 2' x 4' shelves $20
4 3' long 3/8" threaded rods. $8
32 3/8" nuts and washers $8 ish

I am going to put 3 Boot Boxes on the bottom shelf. Each of the 3 other shelves will hold 12 regular Shoe Boxes.
I am going to put the short end against the wall and have a row of shoe boxes on either side of the shelves with a 3" flexwatt down the shelf on the back side of the boxes (2 strips per shelf).
$50 for the shelves and another $100ish for the boxes and the heat not to mention a thermostat.

My daughter had a blast helping me put the nuts and washers on the rods and then helping me tighten everything down and get the shelves straight. It really was a fun night with her :main_yes::main_yes:

Do you possibly still have the link for the directions for this stand. It looks pretty much straight forward and I could probly build it with out them but I'd still like to take a look at them. Also were you able to get all the supplies from places like home depot or lowes? And the stand looks good by the way!
