I love to read, any good leo book suggestions? Most of the ones I've seen are for begginers-- like the ones you buy at petco. Looking for something a lil more interesting and in depth.

We have Ron Trempers book. It's on his site

www.leopardgecko.com

A lot of people think it's a "marketing ploy" We personally love it and have learned so much from it. We do recommend getting it. It has a huge amount of knowledge in it about breeding, making your own rack systems, and genetics.

I have The Leopard Gecko in Captivity by Robbie Hamper and I have Geckos by Julie Bergman. Both books are good. The book by Julie talks about Day Geckos more but still talks about alot of other gecko species.

Rons book is ok, i have it. When i bought it i thought it would be better!

We didn't really have any expectations and we were new breeders when we got it so everything in it was pretty much greek to us until we read it.
It's better than the books at the petstores. :main_thumbsup:

I agree, alot better than books in petstores, but his book will be out of date in about a year or 2 with all the new knowledge of leopard geckos and new morphs.

Yea thats what i was thinking, and if he comes out with a new book i dont want that vivarium setup stuff, i just want strictly leopard gecko breeder bussiness in there, like an e true holly wood behind the scenes, but in leopard gecko way.

Now Bret, you know just as well as we do that Mr. Leopard Gecko himself is not going to give up too many of his behind the scenes "secrets". We have tried getting things out of him like what he does with all of his extra -normal looking hatchlings and he doesn't even act like he hears you. It would be cool though if he ever did make a book like that. I think Alberto should do something like that...he is awesome to talk to about geckos (and really down to earth) a book would be great for referencing.:book:
