Yesterday, I put Ozzy back into her own cage because I thought Opus was out-eating her. They're both really good eaters, but evidently, he's better. I figured with them being together for the last few weeks, and me witnessing "the deed" recently...she's either bred or not. So this morning, I'm checking on her in her private digs, and I see her in her moist hide with a huge pile of vermiculite in the corner third of the Tupperware, and she's occupying the other two-thirds. Thinking she might've buried eggs, I gently poked around looking for eggs. There were none. Dang.
So, I'm getting ready for the reptile show in Kansas City (get to meet Jeremy!!), and my husband's on his way home so he can go with. He gets home, and I'm like "Hey, Chris! Look what Ozzy did!" and he asks if there's eggs. Nope, I checked a little bit ago, no eggs. He's like "Uh, pretty sure you're full of poop."
OZZY LAID AN EGG!!! (Presumably two by the time I post this and get my hair dried and we're ready to go). I'm so egg-cited. Kelly (Double LY) should be REALLY excited too, since hopefully she's keeping them because we're moving back to Colorado at the end of the month...
My last clutches were in '05, and they were SHTCT girls by my "hi yellow" male. They were fun and cute and beautiful, but not exotic (IMO). These'll be so different, and I'm so excited!
APTOR eggs, AND a reptile show, AND getting to meet Jeremy - all in the same day! Doesn't get any better than this!
