Best Substrate for Hatchlings

Would it be a good idea to use paper towels as a substrate for baby geckos? I had 2 baby beardies die on me using an adult substrate. Then again, it could just been the pet stores they came from, it's infamous how little they do to keep their herps healthy. Anyway, what substrate should I use?

yup... only way I raise mine. Babies on paper towels with a hide box filled with coco fiber to help keep the little guys hydrated. My adults on the other hands, well my avatar speaks for that.

Well i don't know about raising babies but concerning adults i'm a true believer in your Avatar for adults:main_thumbsup:
