Best Temps?

So I know most of the old times here stress to use the "Search" for questions that have probably been asked a million times. But I tried the search and didn't find the answer to my question :)

Anyway what are the BEST temps to be on the hot and cool side? Right now our hot ranges 93-95F and the cool is about 73-75F (he's spent a lot of time in the cool hide but also only goes on the OUTSIDE of his hot hide. So I'm assuming it's not hot enough? Because he went in there when we first put him in when it was 96-98F but is that too hot?! But then we added a paper towel to cool it down a bit and it's not at 93F)

Thanks for any replies. I'd appreciate some input from those that are better educated on Geckos :D

I keep mine between 95F and 97F with no problems. :) it sounds like you're doing fine..he might be going in it and you don't see him do it. I have one that does something similar (sleeping outside his warm hide) but from time to time I find him inside of it too.

So no cause for concern that he's sleeping outside of it? When I went to check the temp outside of his hot hide where he was laying with the probe therm. It was only 88F then when I did that he scurried off to his cold hide lol. I haven't seen him in the hot hide since we made it cooler. (we've also only had this lil one for 2 days)

Give him time to adjust, he's probably going in it you just haven't seen him do it (assuming you aren't watching him constantly). He's still stressed out from being in a new environment just leave him alone :) he'll be okay. Keep your temps up in the 90s and he'll be just fine.
