Best Way in Finding Morph?

I have no clue of what morph are my two leos. I've done some test breeding and hatchlings are expected to come within this month. Once they come, I'll post pictures of the parents and the babies.

Besides test breeding and basically just looking at the leo, what are the best ways to determine the morphs and any het traits if you have no information at all with their parents?

There isn't really a way to know for sure without knowing the genetics of the parents, especially when it comes to hets. To completely prove them out, you would have to produce a huge amount of babies.

You need to know the genetic backgrounds to know what morph a gecko is.

Test breeding can be done, but it will take years for each gecko. During that time, you won't want to see any hatchlings because they may end up being het for multiple albino strains. Because of this, very few breeders will test breed. You would need to test to each albino strain. You need at least 12, but really 20+ babies to even begin to think that it's not het. For females, this could take 6 seasons or more. Males are easier to test breed.

Unless you're producing something new, it's best to only breed geckos with known genetics. That way you're not adding to the massive amount of unknown genetics out there. Even pet only geckos can't be guaranteed to not end up breeding years from now.
