Best way to view your leo?

I used the search function but I haven't found anything that was of value for me.

My question is what is the best way to view your Leo at night? Obviously they are most active at night and I would like to watch him while I'm on the computer before bed.

Every time I turn on the lights to see him he wanders back into his hide.

I have read about moonlight bulbs and infrared bulbs but, I'm not really interested in adding lots of extra heat as most do. I just want something that I can enjoy viewing him.

Is there something particular I can do that will not disturb him?
I was thinking like a long tube light or something..Im guessing it would have to be red?

Any help is appreciated. I just want to get the most out of my little girl :0)

Try using a red light bulb. It should give you enough light to see him without disturbing him to much.
