Better Moist hide?

Right now im using all natural green moss. Do you guys think its better to use vermiculight?

I just use moiste paper towels. I spray them once a day so they don't dry out and change them every 3 days or sooner if they look dirty.

We use Bed-a-beast or Eco-earth, they are both just Coconut fibers. Works great and our Leos seem to love in a humid box and they also lay their eggs in it. Cost about $2.00-3.00 for a block that expands to make about 8 liters, a lot. Sometimes they have 3 blocks for $5.00 for sale.

I think I have 2 or 3 blocks of that eco earth around. I think it cost me around $10.00 for a 3 pack of it.

Petsmart has the 3 blocks now for $5.99, so do some other places online, but then you have to tag on S&H.

Is it ok for babies, they wont ingest it and get them sick or impacted? That sounds like a really good deal too. Thanks for all the replies.

i have used several substrates in my hides but for hatchlings paper towels is a must. i havent had any issues with eco earth but stay away from sani-chips even though it claims its for leos. some geckos eat substrate and some dont but the best way to tell is monitor their poo.
