biddy baby problems

Just 3 grams at 4mos? What's up with that?

Yeah Laney, hatch problems seem to keep her from
eating normal. I've had to help feed her in different ways.
But still she remains 3 grams. no more...no less.
She has size problems on being able to get worms in her mouth.
I have to pick the very smallest baby meal worms and hold them
down with tweezers in front of her.
Also feed off my finger a liquid calcium and meat mix that she will
lick but consumpion doesn't seem to be enough for growing.
I'm very surprised she is still with us and as active as she is.
I hold her, give warm soaks, keep temps good and plenty of
hand picked fresh, tiny, tiny, meals on the flooring at all hours.
I'm afraid it's one of the sad cases of geckoing.
Take care. HJ

Poor little thing. Amazing that she's hung on this long. Have you considered trying Marcia's slurry mixture? It may help to give her some extra umph for a couple weeks to put on a gram or two, since she's held on this long. Good luck with little Biddy :)

Yes Laney...surprised here too.
Have her on a HJ slurry mix.....easier.
Licqid calcium and Armour Potted meat....works well.
She has been showing progress ....hunting worms (minis) is good now.
Eating size is a little bigger.
Thanks.
Take care. HJ

She is in good care! I feel what you are going through-- I have a three month old at 6 grams and her aim is terrible with worms. It is one day at a time, that's for sure. Keep up the good work! It seems like we grow closer to the ones that need special care. Be well!

Thanks for the nice words.
All the best on yours too.
You might try tongs on the worms.
