I'm fairly new to leos, though I've kept a few other reptiles in the past. These guys are just so cute I want a million, though, and I'm going to research for the next few months all about them to decide what my goals with keeping them might be. They're so fun to spoil.

That is great!!
I "caught the bug" over three years ago. I started out with one little guy...but they are like potato chips....LOL!! Now I have a BUNCH!!
I also started with tanks, and quickly converted to a rack system.
Have fun!! And by the way, so glad to see you researching!:main_thumbsup:

Yeah, already about to start planning a rack system. My very first was a pet only girl with what looks like enigma syndrome and she's really not appreciative of the glass tank, so she'll get the first tub.

And since I'm over here in Jax, FL, I've already got my eye on your site for later! :main_robin:

Welcome!

I'd keep a small number (like a handful) of them for a while before jumping head-first into a serious collection of geckos. This hobby has a lot of turn over and most keepers don't feel the same way after a year. So keep that in mind! Lol

Olympus- Absolutely! I'm only sticking to three or four, and one of them belonging to my SO, for the first year at least before I think about getting into anything overly complicated. For me, though, it's actually a perfect replacement hobby. I've done planted aquariums for a long time but got a back injury a few years ago that has caused my maintenance schedule to really suffer, so I'm gearing them down. I can still lift plenty of weight, it just gets a bit painful after the first 20 gallons, you know?

I'm on the board of a cat rescue and work as a foster, so I know exactly what your concerns are, and I do promise to go past the honeymoon stage before making a fool of myself.
