Well its been about a week now since he ate anything :(

His temps are fine, he has everything he normally does, the only difference is i swapped his paper towel for grey reptile carpet.

He is still active and nosey as usual but he has gone really really dark in color :( He looks almost brown now and he is normally a bright yellow.

Ive tried him with mealworms which are normally his fave, dubias which he also normally loves, super worms which he hasnt had before but doesnt seem interested, wax worms...normally take them or leave them but they were the last thing he ate.

He is still fine with being handled, not agressive at all...he just wont eat. I gave him a little bath today incase he felt bunged up, but he has been pooping still a few times since he last ate.

Daisy finally ate today after a week, 2 small supers and 3 mealworms, so im happy about that, she has kept her same color apart from when she shed.

Yoshi has always been a little star for eating well. The weather has been a lot warmer lately but the temps in the vivs are still normal.

Anyone have any ideas or suggestions? His poop in normal, hes not losing weight (infact hes a little fatty) and not showing any signs of illness...hes just really dark and wont eat. He has looked interested in the food but then walks away

I can only tell you about my little guy...
He went about a month after I brought him home with almost no food. All he ate in the entire month was 3 mealies and 1 cricket. He finally ate 4 crickets the other day and then he shocked me by eating EIGHTEEN crickets 2 days ago. The reptile store said he may have been in breeding mode. I guess they can stop eating because of that.
They had told me it might be best to separate him from the female until he ate again.
My guy lost a total of about 6 grams of weight during that time.
I actually used some chicken baby food a couple times. He did lap some off of his lower lip. I know there's a recipe for a slurry in the feeding section.
Good luck!

Thankfully he ate this morning :D

12 mealworms is pretty good for him as he normally eats between 6-10.

I dont know if he's wanting to breed, my girlies are only aged between a month and 7 months so he cant have any yet :( Yoshi is just over a year old.

He is still really really dark though :( Ive never seen him this color before. He normally goes a little darker when he is getting ready to shed but he hasnt yet and doesnt look like he is going to any time soon.

His hot temp is fine, around 95-97 and he spends most of the day time on that side. On a night he spends a lot of time on the cool side.

Like i said before he isnt showing any weird personality changes, hes still my little baby boy :D

Atm i have 2 26x15x15 wooden vivs with glass doors, one is his one is Daisy's and they are a few feet apart. I have a female who is about 2-3 months old on top of Daisy's viv in a plastic tank and 2 babies which are just over a month old on Yoshi's in a plastic one also, i think they are either both female or one could be a male.

I hope im not sending him crazy by too many women in the room

Does anyone have any idea why he is so dark and what i can do to get him out of breeding mode if he is?

Thanks in advance :main_thumbsup:
