Black mulberry

Does anyone know if silkworms do eat morus nigra? I think there's a tree near my apartment. I'll post some pics of the tree and the leaves later for identification (because I suck at it).

According to this website, silkworms definitely do eat genus Morus

and here's a site that talks about the black mulberry, "contain in every part a milky juice...thought to give tenacity to the filament spun by the silkworm"
