Well, I finally fed some off for the first time today. They're awesome! The geckos all loved them...even my picky eaters. I have to cool them off in the fridge because the little boogers are too fast for me to catch with tweezers. I'm way too chicken to pick them up with my hands (expect for that one that tried to get away). They are way squishier than my discoids, it kinda freaked me out.

Well, now to sit back and wait. Breed my pretties...BREED!

I really like these roaches as well.. I've only fed a couple so far since i'm trying to build up a colony but the ones i have fed were gone real fast. The way they run around really seems to trigger a good feeding response.
They're not that bad to pick up i've had them run off the egg crate onto my hands and just sit there for a second. Can't wait to make more use of these guys!

Oh, I'm a major sissy. LOL I'll even tweezer mealworms. The one I scooped off the floor last night was ok. You can FORGET me handling one of the adult discoids.

I don't think I could do it. I hate bugs.... I didn't even think about that before I bought a leo, but crix and mealies I'm ok with. Roaches, spiders, earwigs, and silverfish make me run for the hills lol.

Well you can get 1,000 for like $25 and feed out of that... (probably the price for 1,000 crickets? i dont' buy crickets in bulk) but by the time you're done feeding those out they might reproduce. They lay egg cases though which take about a month to hatch.

I refuse to have roaches in my house too! They just gross me out too much.
