I have a small hatchling about 2 weeks old. I am noticing the belly on the right side (looking Down) is blue. You can also see some blue from the top as welll. He/she acts fine healthy rins around. I did feed 2 small meal worms today and he sucked them down. Am i seeing this or is the baby compacted or even normal.

Can someone post up a pic of the underside of a two week old hatchling? Sometimes folks look under their gecko and since they are not used to looking at what is under there, they start freaking. I suspect that may be what is going on here.

If you have this gecko on anything digestible like sand, rocks or bark, then you may have an actual issue. It is convenient for most folks to keep young on paper towels.

I think it's the liver, the gallbladder is much smaller than the 'stain' you see...The liver is on of the biggest organs and contains lots of blood (hence the blue color).

Greets,
