Ive had uros before, although a neat species, they prefer to not be handled. Now I am not saying the are aggressive, they just can be a bit squirmy. Also many, esp malis are wild caught, so if you do decide to go that route, dig deep and make sure you are getting a CBB as most adults or sub adults are wild caught and will need to be vet checked.
I love blue tongues, they are very melly chubby things. The ones I have interactive with, they are mello, sweet, and take to handling well. I would suggest a bluey
I have 8 northern blueys and 3 banded uros, and I think both species make great pets. I depends on which one is more appealing to you. Their diets are a bit different, but both are relatively easy to feed. Both species are relatively easy to house as well. I'd say.....get some of each?
