Boss just jumped out of my hand...

So, I was handling him since he hasn't been brought out for a day or two. As usual, I had to lure him out with a worm in hand. He mostly laid in my hand and climbed around my desk drawer. I noticed he's getting pale so I wanted to put him back sooner than usual. So I'm next to his cage, and start checking him a little to see if he's going to shed. I notice the loose skin on his armpit areas and talk to him, then ZOOM he darts out of my hand faster than I've ever seen him go before, right into his tank. We were right above it so it wasn't a huge leap or anything. Scared the living crap out of me. Sometimes this little jerk makes me feel like no progress is ever made when it comes to not being skittish... Sigh. Needed to vent.

D'oh! Yeah, that's a good reason to always handle low to a surface while in the taming process... Glad he wasn't hurt.
