Box Size w/Heat Pack

Normally when I ship one gecko, I use the small boxes. I think they're 6x6x9 or something like that. Would I be able to use that size box with a heat pack or should I go up to a 12x9x6 size box? I don't want the box to overheat, but I also don't want there to be a ton of space in the box with one small gecko.

Thanks!

The box size is 7x7x6.

So you don't think it will get too warm in there? I'm pretty sure I shipped last winter with the small box a couple times, but I couldn't remember. I'll be using the 40 hour heat pack.

Yeah he'll be fine I use it with no problem and place some newspaper on top of the gecko so that the heatpack does not come in contact with the gecko.

Without knowing important facts like heat pack size, proposed animal to ship (type of reptile), and outside temperature, there's no way to know if shipping an animal in that small of a box might get overheated. Shipping live animals is an art...there are no hard and fast rules especially with the lack of info the op gave imo...

I used a 40 hour heat pack (all I use) and everything was fine. I only use heat packs when temps are in the 40's and 50's. I only ship leos.:)
