Box Size

I'm about to place an order with Superior. How many geckos can go in each of the box sizes? What are your opinions on each size?

Box sizes:

7x7x6
12x9x6
12x12x10
15x11x7

Depending on the deli cup size, this is what I can fit into the boxes:

7x7x6 - 1 gecko, maybe 2 (cheapest dimensional size for shipping costs)
12x9x6 - 4 geckos
12x12x10 - 6-10 geckos (expensive to ship)
15x11x7 - 6-10 geckos (VERY expensive to ship)

Is the 7x7x6 large enough for a heat pack?

Also, do you buy the 1/2" or the 3/4" foam?

Is the 7x7x6 large enough for a heat pack?

Not really. I use 3/4" foam for summer and winter shipping when heat/cold packs are needed, but otherwise 1/2" works fine.

One more question...

I usually use the Solo 8 oz (4.5" dia) clear pre-punched cup. I have some larger geckos I need to ship. At what size gram wise, do you feel the need to go to the 32 oz (6.75" dia) cup?

I usually don't ship geckos in the 6.75 oz. cups because I feel there is more room for them to get thrashed around during shipping. For larger geckos, I use the 4.5" diameter cups (12 oz.) that are a little taller.
