BP Racks

Im considering starting Ball Pythons, What size rack containers would you use for ball pythons? I oviously will have to buy juvies and grow them up, it wouldnt hurt their growth by starting them in an adult rack would it? Can someone post a pic of how they have thier rack containers set up

My opinion...

I use blanket box tubs for my juveniles even though they are secretive and like to feel safe. Just be sure to give them something to hide in or under and they'll be fine.

40qt for adults

I use 12qt (1854) for juvl. For sub-adults and Adult males I use 28 qt(1846juvl tub). For female adults you need a tub that is 40-41qt. I use 41qt(1896) its enough room for the female and when u add the male for breeding season.

I use Sterilite and I buy them at Walmart.

thanks, as far as rack pics, i ment inside of a container, the setup. Im new to BPs so Id like to see how big of water bowl, what kind of hides things like that. papertowels or something else for substraight

Hey Brandon I have BP's

Hi Brandon, Inside my boaphile 4ft x 2ft x 12" I use crocks for water. Med to lrg size depending on the size of the snake, Babys get the ones I call cat crocks alittle lower and smaller size You want the bottom to be all flat because balls like to get in their water fairly often. I use paper for substrate and I do not usually feed them in their cage but use sweater boxes with lids. They are pretty easy to care for and unless you want to show them off like in a glass tank you do not need branches rocks or fake plants. Here is 4 of my snakes I have more these are two black backs one is even a granite and two golden stripes with only one break Then I have two het pieds not pictured, a ghost(or so we think) and a Het ghost female. I am getting some Pastels and hopefully a spider or two. I was getting out of snakes but when I sold one Ifreaked so I will contiune. I can get pics of their set ups if you want. Just let me know. I use the AP racks. Best racks on the market if you ask me. Well built, sturdy, and the customer service is phenomenal.

These are the tub sizes I use.

15 qt tubs for babies/small juvies
32 qt tubs for large juvies/sub adults/adult males
41 qt tubs for adult females
