Breathing/Respiratory infection?

While I was holding my gecko tonight, I noticed a very low noise every time she breathed. It was kind of like a little pop. I hope it's not a respiratory infection but I'm definitely gonna look into it. Do leos make any sound when they normally breathe? Her mouth isn't opened so good thing she's not panting.

mine is silent when he breathes. a popping sound probably isn't too good, that's what my breathing sounds like and i have a cold.

Leos don't usually make any noise when they breathe, so if she's still making the same noise when she breathes for the next day or two, I'd think about taking her to the vet. I don't really know because my leo never had this problem, but I've read about it being a problem with other people's leos.

Did your gecko recently shed? Sometimes I hear a 'clicking' sound in the throat of geckos when they have swallowed a huge skin ball.

^ yeah me too or sometimes I just hear a small click on some of the geckos. Not always just sometimes, usually when they are annoyed that I am grabbing them. And by the looks of them they are very healthy and fat so they are definitely not sick. I wouldn't worry about it unless you see mucus or ifs like a raspy hard to breath type of sound.

Yeah she just shedded a few days ago but I don't think theres a problem because I only noticed it when it was at some times when I would pick her up. Thanks for the replies

If you think it has a respiratory infection do you think it could be from high humidity in your enclosure? It's just a thought as to what would cause such a thing in a Leo.
