This Fall I picked up an adult pair of Turners Geckos. They were advertised as Biberons, but after a fair amount of research I am quite certain they are indeed Turners.
I didn't really think much about breeding, I purely enjoy them as pets, but over the course of 4 months they have laid 2 clutches of eggs. (2 eggs each time) I set up an incubator with vermiculite bedding, 80-85 degree temperatures, and 80% humidity, and want to make sure this is all correct.
NOTE: Turners Geckos lay hard-shelled eggs.
Anyway, I was just hoping someone in these forums knew a little bit about these geckos, and could tell me if I'm doing this correctly. I've visited two local reptile stores and nobody really seems to know much about Turners Geckos.
On a similar note, how soon should I be expecting these eggs to hatch if cared for correctly? Like I mentioned earlier, the first clutch was laid 3-4 months ago.. should they be hatching soon? Is there anything I need to do to assist the geckos in hatching?
Well, thats all I've got. Thanks for all your help!
Here's a picture of the female, Yzma. (like from Emperor's New Groove) And yes, the male is named Kronk haha.
