I have a very nice patternless male. I was wondering is there any other morphs out there that if i breed them with a patternless could i get anything special. Like could i breed my patty with a normal or a hypo tang and get somthing other than more patternless's. could it maybe turn out to be a brighter/more oarnge patternless if bred with a hypo tang?
Thanks:main_thumbsup:

everything that you pair him with that is not patty will be normal het patty.

breeding him to a SHB would give you SH´s het patty
breeding him to a patty albino will give you patternless het Albino

and so on.

If you do breed and get het patty, you can breed the offspring back to the patty, or the other parent and get some cool stuff. It will take years to increase the color of the patty, so if you want to do that, don't get frustrated when it takes a year. :D It will be worth it though, if that's what you want to do.

If you bred your patternless (bb) to an albino(aa) you can get patternless albinos. You can breed your patternless albino to other geckos that are recessive Ex(RAPTOR) and get some cool stuff. Since the patternless and albino are recessive, to get anything that's not normal het for something, you need to breed the patty to something that is also recessive.

Some recessive traits are:
Tremper Albino
Bell Albino
Rainwater Albino
(when crossing different albinos, you will get normal offspring double het for both albino strains. This is because the genes for each trait occur on different loci or possibly different alleles(alleles are alternate forms of the same gene) of the same gene)
Murphy Patternless
Blizzard
Eclipse-black eyes
Raptor- red eyes

hope I got that right. :D

Oh, BTW- Hypomelanistic or Hypo and Tangarine are known as Polygenetic traits. These traits act like het traits but they aren't really. They are line bred rather than het. Say you cross a SHT (super hypo tangarine) with a patternless. Unless you keep crossing back the offspring to the SHT, or other nice SHT, the color will decrease and eventually, the color will be barred rather than solid on the body. So if you want to breed SHT to your patternless, make sure you have really nice SHT, and you breed back to the parent or breed out to another nice SHT.

Sorry if I confused you. Just tell me to shut my pie-hole if I talk to much. lol. I am reading on genetics and really getting into it. Let me know if you need help! I will try my best to help you!!!! :)
