Nice set up. I never thought about using egg crates. I am really jealous...everything looks so neat! My leos love to trash their tubs constantly!!

I love the clean look, but what are the egg cartons for? (Sorry if it's an obvious answer; I'm trying to educate myself on leopard geckos and housing them right now).

love this idea. im soon going to have to figure something out that is better on space as my collection grows.

but a question, when using the plastic tubs, do you not use heat pads?
also what size tubs do you recommend?

When going to tubs and a rack/shelving system you general either use heat tape or wire which you tape down on the shelf so that you can easily remove the tub when needed. Depending on the size of the gecko or if you plan to house a few in one tub depicts the size of the tub you want to use. Some people use 6 qt tubs for hatchlings. Some use up to a 16 qt. Some use the 16 qt for adults. Others use up to a 35 qt. Personally I use the 16 for my hatchling/jevinile and 28 qt for my adults.
