My neighor's brother has a male aft and I was wanting to breed them. Are they the same as leos. For about a week or two I lowered the females tank and I just jumped the heat back up to 90 or so. It was down to about 75 or so and she stopped eating. Now she is eating. The only thing I am scared of it her losing her tail or idk, the eggs not being small enough for her to pass. I don't have recent pics but her weight is about 50 is what she averages, and and she almost 2 years old. Is she ready?

She'll need to be somewhat fat. The eggs drain her reserves pretty quick although you can slow that with a high quality all you can eat diet every night.

Also, I've never been able to get away with something as short as two weeks. It seems to be highly dependant on the female. One girl I have actually only needs 3-4 weeks of rest while another one won't lay unless she gets a full two months . . .

Some say you don't need cooling, but at least mine do. . .
