Well, even if they were both 100% het DB, the chances of them producing a DB hatchling would only be1.5625%. So considering they are 66% het, I would say the chances would be pretty slim. Remember, a DB is a combination of three recessive traits (tremper, blizzard, eclips), which is why it's really just down to luck to get all three of those traits expressed physically in a hatchling. Also, you will not know which hatchlings are het for what considering that the parents are only 66% het themselves.

personally its gona be a bit of a genetic mess. so your best breeding the 66% het ones to an actual diablo blanco to test out if they are ACTUALLY het for it. but that could take ages as mentioned above youve got small chances.

That makes "66% hets" for the combined trait that are displaying none of those traits which make it up really... really unlikely to have been properly represented.

Thanks for the info, It's starting to make a little bit more sense....Diablo blanco is not a recessive trait like albinism...but a combination of 3 recessive traits that must be expressed at the same time is this correct? I was asking because I saw some beautiful sunglow babies that were listed as 66% DB....just wondering the possibility of getting one. :)

Correct, Diablo Blanco is made up of 3 recessive traits and they must be expressed at the same time. Tremper Albino, Eclipse, and Blizzard. It would take luck to get a DB from to DB hets the first season. And then you would have all those unknown hets. Not something I would want to deal with with.
