Ok guys I plan on breeding leopard geckos soon I have 5 of them each in their 10 gallon tanks I breed them before but I had to keep the babies in a 10 gallon till they were sold so I am planning on buying a rack one to hold adults and the other for juviniles and the other for babies so 3 racks and I do not want to go and buy 3 separate thermostat so I was wondering how does the herpstat 4 work I cant find any forums or anything that have to do with this thermostat and it frustrates me :main_huh: so yeah can someone answer the herpstat 4 question and my other question is about breeding below
1)For breeding in a rack system what size tubs am I gonna need for
adults:
juvi:

2)temperatures
3)what is needed in the tubs like the best substrate to use etc.

I am not 100% on the herpstat 4 being as i never used it before but id say hit up youtube if you haven't yet should be something on there info wise.

1) As far as tubs go i have seen people have rack systems with their adults in a 16 quart tub and this is just my opinion but i feel bad for the geckos in them cuz when you look they have enough room for their hide and 2 dishes for calcium and water. I keep mine in a 28 quart (i spoil the hell out of mine) but with this size you can even house 2 females together and they will both have room. As for the baby/juvi geckos they are the ones ill keep in the 16 quart tubs.

2) Normally id say 75-85 is a good area myself i keep my rack rolling at about 80 and they all seem to do fine.

3)I use paper towels alot different people use different things for substrate but to me paper towels is extremely easy to clean and i dont have to worry about the geckos eating it then having a chance for impaction. Less risk in my eyes.

Now i am going to be upfront with this if you are asking what needs to be in their tubs and what temps they need to be at i really suggest you stop and do a little more research into things before you start breeding. good luck
