Breeding Weight

Does anyone have any idea on what weight Bearded Dragons should be bred at? I haven't seen much on weight except a couple of people who had 18 fertile eggs from a 175 gram dragon. Which too me is too small because my current female is 172 grams and I wouldn't even think of breeding her.

I've also seen on Dachiu's website that he bred them by age and a lot of them were between 5-12 months which I also thought was a bit young. But I'd like to know what anyone on here who breeds them goes by. Or what you've heard.

I don't breed females untilt hey are 1.5 years old no-matter what. This is just the way I do it and its my opinion but I make sure that my females are of a good solid age and are nice fat and healthy. Not sure if this helps you out that much since i didn;t give you any weights but weights in dragons vary so much its hard to go by that like it is in leos.

They say that a female dragon should be at least 300 grams. Some say 350 grams. And at least 1 year of age. I agree that it depends on the dragons thenselves because I have a couple females that are under 300 grams and no matter what I feed them I can't get them over 300 grams. But they are over 2 and 3 yrs old. So The best thing to look for is good health and I wouldn't breed any female under 1 year! And those girls are around 285 and 272 grams. Just my oppinion and I have been breeding dragons for alittle while.
