NEVER be too embarrassed to ask a question... it's the only way to learn, so you can do things right... it's why we're ALL here... ;)

Personally i wont breed a female till there 60+ grams. This is my own personal weight. Just coz you can get away with breeding lighter i dont feel its good since females who breed often loose ALOT of weight. This will allow them to loose more without getting below 30 grams. When in dout let them get fatter. A fat girl is better for breeding then a minimum wieght girl or a thin girl.;D Dont be afriad to ask. Were all here to learn/share experinces.

I personally like to wait till they'e at least 1 year old, so they're done growing themselves before diverting their energy to producing eggs.

depends on the gecko in my opinion. i have female enigmas that are just smaller than your average gecko and at 2 years old barely hit the 50 gram mark. also my afghanicus crosses are smaller and they are breeding at 40 grams. but as a general guideline on average i will not breed a male that is not 45 grams plus, females 50 grams and up. some breeders will pair up smaller females with no ill side effects so there is no absolute right weight or age, just a general consensus of hobbyists.

Same here, my females are about 1.5yrs old before I introduce the male. I have some awsome hatchlings from last season but they are still too young to think about breeding this year. Oh well, there is always the next season :) Nothing like planning 2 seasons ahead lol

I wait until my females are 50+grams. I do have some females that never get above the 50 gram mark and they do fine during the breeding season.
